Bringing 'Peter Pan' to life

Exchange Ave. in Crete. School shows are planned at 10 a.m. and at noon Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Senior citizen groups also may attend these shows. School show tickets cost $3 and may be bought by calling (219) 922-9331 or e-mailing Indiana Youth Ballet at indianayouthballet2@yahoo.com. Public performances will be at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets cost $15. Tickets are sold at the door, through the school at (219) 922-9331 or the Crete Park District at (708) 672-6969. "Peter Pan" is a fantasy adventure in which a boy and his guests travel to an island. On this island, inhabited by lost boys who never want to grow up, they encounter pirates, mermaids and Indians. Join Wendy, John, and Michelle in their journey to Neverland and meet Peter Pan,
Tinkerbell and the dastardly Captain Hook. Indiana Youth Ballet is composed of a core company of dancers who train extensively in Chicago in addition to local training. Many former dancers have gone on to professional careers in dance.
