It's a brand new year with a brand new list of New Years Resolutions to try to keep. I asked my friends about their resolutions and here is a sampling: 1. To be better organized; 2. Clean out one drawer, shelf or closet a day. (That is sure to be broken quickly); 3. To be kinder to people; 4. Eat healthier foods; 5. Exercise or walk as often as possible. I wonder how long they, and I, can keep them.
Local clubs, civic and fraternal groups and organizations are all busy, not necessarily hosting events in January and February, but planning for the years events. This is a great time to evaluate last years projects, and decide whether to try the same again or look for something new and improved.
I have found a few events happening in January to get you out of the house and away from the television:

My safety tip of the week is: The next time you brave the cold to fill your gas tank, turn off the motor, put your keys and billfold in your pocket. Dont tempt a theft of your purse or car, which has happened all too frequently lately.
