Enjoy an evening of smooth jazz at Taltree Arboretum and Gardens Friday beginning at 6:30 p.m. Reggie Foster, Jr. will demonstrate his passion as a smooth jazz saxophonist. He comes from a family of musical influences, with his father Reggie Foster, Sr. being the main catalyst. Foster Jr. started playing professionally at age 20 and he has performed on many gospel and jazz recordings. For samples of his music, check out www.reggiefosterjr.com. Concert

Flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and French horn comprise the instruments that you will hear at Taltree Sunday beginning at 3 p.m. The Northwest Indiana Symphony is excited to be able to present the virtuoso talent of its wind players including Cynthia Fudala (flute), Amy Barwan (oboe), Denise Kirkland (clarinet), Dan D'Andrea (bassoon), and John Schreckengost (French horn). 'Forbidden Broadway' at Wheeler High School

Support the Bearcat Community Theatre group by joining them at 7 p.m. July 18, 19, 25 and 26 and 2 p.m. July 20 and 27 in the Wheeler High School Auditorium, 599 W. County Road 300 North. "Forbidden Broadway" is a revue of musical skits lampooning Broadway performers, shows, and their creators. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and students. Warbird Day in Wheeler

The Midwest Sundowners R/C Model Aircraft Group will host Warbird Day on Saturday at Rainford Field. Any size and model of military aircraft in military colors is welcome at no charge. Flying starts at 9:30 a.m. Food will be available on site. To reach the field, take U.S. 30 to County Road 725 West, and go north to 450 North, east to 650 West and north to the flying field.
