Special events: Lynwood Lions Club support Lions Club International projects in addition to participating in community projects. The group holds an annual pancake breakfast and this summer sponsored free hearing testing at Lynwood Festival. In the past the club held a spaghetti dinner and took part in Lions Candy Day. Advice: "We do help the town, one of our efforts is the Veteran's Memorial," said club president Rich Stephens. The club plans to donate money for book magnifiers and Braille books to the new library.

How to get involved: For information on Lynwood Lions Club, call Lynwood Village Hall at (708) 758-6101.
