A Merrillville woman won $200,000 after purchasing a Saturday Powerball ticket from a Highland liquor store.
Marisela Ruiz bought the winning ticket at the Liquor Stop store, 9218 Indianapolis Blvd.
Ruiz told Hoosier Lottery officials she couldn't believe her eyes when she checked the numbers on the Lottery's Web site.
"I just got online," Ruiz said. "I couldn't believe it so I had to check the newspaper, too!"
She told lottery officials she plans to pay bills and take care of her family with the money.
Harish Patel, the owner of the Liquor Stop, said the store will get 1 percent of the win, or $2,000.
