And the winner is…

Chloe Dorsey won the Tag Line Contest associated with Community Day at the RailCats Game with her entry "A Homerun Community Out to Have a Ball."

The winning tag line will be used in conjunction with the logo on all Community Day at the RailCats publications in the future. Last year's logo winner was Emma Novakovich.

Chloe enjoyed throwing out the "warm-up" pitch after a photo shoot with Mayor Dave Uran at the July 13 game. Runners-up were Ben and Brandon Haczynski, Griffin Beemsterboer and Austin Line.

Arts on Friday

Fourth Friday Arts patrons attending the event Friday will enjoy two, 45-minute concerts on the east side lawn of the Old Courthouse.

String of Pearls will be headlining the jazzy themed night at 7 and 8 p.m. In the event of rain, the concert will be held in the rotunda of the lower level courthouse shops.

Participants will also be able to enjoy Crown Point Community Theater performers in the Centier Bank courtyard at Main and Joliet streets. The group will be performing selections from their production of "Love Songs." In case of rain, the group will move next door into What's the Scoop.
