South Shore Arts classes begin next week
South Shore Arts will begin its fall term of classes the week of Oct. 6 at all three locations, Munster, Crown Point and Hammond.
The Crown Point Community Art Center, 138 S. Main St., is in a former bank building on the southeast corner of the downtown square. Classes are offered in pottery, drawing, painting, and various children's and adult classes.
In Munster, classes are held on the lower level of the Center for Visual and Performing Arts, 1040 Ridge Road. Classes generally run 10 weeks in the fall.
This fall's classes include a variety of preschool, children's and adult classes including acting, photography with darkroom instruction, pottery, cartooning, mixed media, as well as basic and advanced drawing and painting. South Shore Arts will also offer camps and a variety of workshops.
South Shore Arts Hammond site, Substation No. 9, 435 Fayette St., offers classes in computer graphics, painting, drawing, art studio and airbrushing.
