* What do "Hound Dog," "Stuck On You," "Surrender," "Flaming Star" and "Good Luck Charm" have in common? Renowned Elvis Presley tribute artist Dennis Stella and his band will show you from 7 to 9 p.m. Aug. 11 at the Summer Under the Stars Concert Series in Memorial Park, 612 Wentworth Ave. in Calumet City. The performance will be a particularly poignant tribute to Presley, who passed away 30 years ago to the week. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to relax on so you can enjoy the music just as if you were in "Blue Hawaii." For further information, call (708) 862-6443.

* Do you know the difference between a suspension lift and a frame lift? Do you know what KC Daylighters are? If you have an inquisitive mind and want these questions answered, you can ask some local monster truck owners next week. From 5 to 9 p.m. Aug. 9, they will be on Main Street in Crete as part of Cruise Night, which also features antique cars. These are street legal off road vehicles that can pull any size car out of a 2-foot deep muddy rut. If you have a monster truck and want to show if off, call me at (708) 214-8582. I will get you signed up. Or just show up and look for me. If your truck is muddy, leave it that way. It adds more ambiance. People's Choice trophies will be awarded.
* A special baseball game will take place Sept. 8 during Crete Park District's 50-year celebration. Sponsored by the Crete Lions, The Chicago Comets will be playing at Heritage Park.
