VALPARAISO | Faculty in Valparaiso University's Department of Music will present recitals Friday and Sunday featuring music of the Baroque period and a duo piano work.
The upcoming recitals will take place at the Center for the Arts on campus and are free and open to the public:
Friday n Works by J.S. Bach, W.F. Bach, Mozart, Lowe, Dukas and others will be presented by VU music faculty John Schreckengost, horn, and Maura Janton Cock, soprano, with accompaniment by pianist Nicole Lee. The recital begins at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday n Faculty member Yu-Lien The, piano, will present Olivier Messiaen's duo piano masterpiece "Visions de l'Amen" with pianist Lori Sims. The recital begins at 3 p.m.
Additional recitals featuring the University's music students and faculty will be scheduled during the course of the academic year.
