Theft. The owner of a car parked at the Jackson entrance to the Prairie-Duneland Trailer Park reported Tuesday that someone broke a window and took his stereo system, about 60 compact discs, three bottles of cologne and a white baseball cap.
LIBERTY TOWNSHIP
Theft. Seven to eight gallons of gasoline were reported stolen Friday from a truck parked in the 600 North block of County Road 50 East.
Theft. A wallet and Gameboy were reported stolen Monday from an unlocked car on Stonegate Court.
Vandalism. Residents in the 200 block of Northwind Drive reported their home was struck with paintballs on Monday.
Theft. Twenty tons of heavy gauge steel scaffolding was reported stolen Monday from a residence at 887 N. County Road 264 West.
Theft. A purse, credit cards and a digital camera were reported stolen Monday from a car parked on Foxwood Court.
JACKSON TOWNSHIP
Theft. A purse and credit cards were reported stolen Friday from a car parked in the 700 North block of County Road 500 East.
PORTAGE
Theft. A tool box and numerous tools were reported stolen Sunday from 2400 Superior St. Estimated loss is $200.
Vandalism. Spray-painted graffiti was reported Monday on the concession building at Imagination Glen Soccer Complex, 2181 Ind. 149. Estimated damage is $2,000.
Thefts. Five residents of an apartment complex in the 3500 block of Ash Street reported thefts from vehicles on Monday. Cash, a cell phone, CD players/stereos were reported stolen.
PORTAGE TOWNSHIP
Theft. Car parts, a power washer and an air compressor were taken from a storage shed Sunday at 2801 McCool Road.
Theft. Two metal forks were reported stolen Monday from tow trucks at Jim's Auto, 793 N. County Road 425 West.
PORTER TOWNSHIP
Theft. A stereo faceplate was reported stolen Friday from a vehicle parked in Rosewood Lane. Loss is $120.
Theft. Tools, a cell phone and 25 to 30 CDs were reported stolen Friday from an unlocked vehicle parked on Cherrywood Lane.
VALPARAISO
Theft. A park bench and cigarette extinguisher unit were reported stolen Saturday from St. Paul's Church, 1855 Harrison Blvd.
Theft. A bike was reported stolen Saturday from the bike rack at the Porter County Public Library, 103 Jefferson St. It was valued at $400.
Theft. A resident in the 2300 block of Flemming Road reported on Friday that an iPod and case worth $330 were taken from his car parked in his driveway.
