MALDEN | Parade entries still are being accepted for Malden's annual Labor Day Parade.
In addition to the parade Monday, New Hope Missionary Church will have a cookout along with games and prizes from 1 to 4 p.m. at Morgan Township School. 299 S. Ind. 49. There is no charge for the cookout, but donations for the Fire Department will be accepted.
Gregg Leech, president of the Morgan Township Fire Department, said individuals and groups that would like to participate are encouraged to fill out an entry form at The Oasis, the Morgan Township Fire Department or at Jake's Feed and Garden, all on Ind. 49 in Malden.
Leech said people can sign up on parade day, but he encourages participants to sign up early to get information on lining up.
The parade starts at noon at Jake's Feed and Garden at Ind. 49 and County Road 350 South. It travels south to County Road 400 South, then west to County Road 150 East, where it ends.
Leech said the Fire Department will have an open house after the parade.
