WESTVILLE | Purdue University North Central Office of Continuing Education is offering a three-day non-credit introductory class on digital photography.

"A Guide to Digital Photography" will meet on Wednesdays, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Sept. 10-24. The registration fee is $129. An additional book fee of $20 also applies.

This class will cover the basics of digital cameras and students will learn skills that will help them enhance their photos, including the fundamentals of basic photography composition, depth of field, exposure control, adjusting to various lighting situations, changing resolution and photo composition. In addition, the class will cover how to analyze and troubleshoot problem digital photographs to determine root causes and how to overcome them. This course will include an overview of the capabilities common to most digital cameras and will not concentrate on any one specific camera type or brand.
