GARY | Authorities have identified a Gary man found shot to death in the city Wednesday night.
Darrell Williamson, 25, of the 1700 block of Gary's W. 5th Ave., died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Lake County Coroner's office.
Police and the coroner's office had sought help in identifying Williamson Thursday morning.
Sgt. William Fazekas said police were called to investigate a call of a man down in the 1200 block of W. 20th Place around 8 p.m. and found Williamson on the ground. The investigation is ongoing, Fazekas said.
