Times Staff Report
Motorists will continue to see progress along the Kingery Expressway, as additional lanes and ramps will open along the corridor during the next couple of weeks.
Weather permitting, motorists can expect newly reconstructed lanes and ramps to open tonight along westbound Interstate 80/94 beginning at Calumet Avenue in Indiana.
The new lanes will mean a configuration change for motorists driving westbound on the interstate between Calumet Avenue and Burnham Avenue.
Three lanes of traffic will remain, but motorists will be traveling on new pavement in the area.
Also, the ramps from both directions of Calumet Avenue to the interstate will reopen.
However, the exit ramp from eastbound I-80/94 to northbound Calumet Avenue will be closed for about a month.
By Sunday, a new flyover bridge connecting the southbound Tri-State Tollway to the inbound Bishop Ford is expected to open.
