Marian Catholic open house slated for Sunday

Marian Catholic High School will open its doors to prospective students and families with its annual open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.

The event will feature tours, displays and informational literature to familiarize families with the quality, college preparatory education that Marian offers to students from more than 70 zip codes in Chicago, its south and southwest suburbs, and Northwest Indiana.

Tours run continuously from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Coaches and members of athletic teams will be available to answer questions.

The Marian Catholic seven-time Bands of America Grand National Champion and 29-time state champion in class Marching Band will show a video of the 2008 performance. The madrigal choir and forensic team will also be performing at various times during the open house.

Also on display will be more than 40 clubs and organizations.

The school's entrance exam will be Jan. 10.
