Linda Condurso-Kosmoski
About Linda:
She and her husband, Guy, live in Hebron.
Owns and operates Linda's Dog-n-Suds Professional Dog Grooming in Crown Point.
Accomplishments: Linda Condurso-Kosmoski is a third-generation dog groomer. She learned the trade from her mother, Jan, and grandmother, Evelyn, both longtime dog groomers in Chicago. When her mother retired and moved to Indiana, she missed the business and opened Jan's Animal House in Crown Point. Condurso-Kosmoski worked along side her mother for nine years before buying the establishment in 1996. She remained at the same location until last month. At the new facility, Condurso-Kosmoski continues to offer quality dog grooming by appointment. She hand scissors and hand dries, using no cage dryers, and cuts nails, treats ears and glands. She offers flea baths and medicated and oatmeal shampoos for dogs with skin problems. Additionally, she recently started a doggie day care from 7 a.m.to 5 p.m."It's tender loving care we offer here," she said. "Each dog has it's own safe space, three-foot wide by six-foot long, with a raised bed, play time with staff, and is taken out several times a
day and offered snacks. There is no intermingling of dogs," she added. Condurso-Kosmoski is excited about the future. "I've been serving Crown Point for the past 20 years and want to continue in this new facility. Everyone is welcome to come and see the facility. Come on in," she said.
Personal hero: "My mother, Jan Foley, who retired to Tennessee. She is my heart and soul. She has taught me everything I know. I owe my whole life to her."
