CROWN POINT | Crown Point Latin Club members won numerous awards earlier this month at the Indiana Junior Classical League State Convention at Indiana University.
Individually, team members won hundreds of certificates.
Latin Club sponsor Jeremy Walker said the team returned home with the "Megaphone," marking Crown Point as the winners of the delegate spirt competition. The award returns to Crown Point after three years at Brownsburg High School.
The club won a number of other awards, including the Helen Wampler Spirit competition based on activities throughout the year. It placed fourth in scrapbook competition.
The next level of competition for these young people will be the National Junior Classical League Convention set for the last week of July at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
