Citizens Against the Privatized Illiana Toll Road will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at Westville High School, 207 Valparaiso St., Westville.

CAPIT has held or participated in similar citizen meetings at the Porter County Expo Center and in Morgan Township, Westville, and Lowell.

Organizers said Thursday's meeting is intended to let the public learn more about S.B. 1, which would grant legislative authority for two new privatized toll roads, the Illiana Toll Road in Northwest Indiana and the Indiana Commerce Connector near Indianapolis.

The bill has passed the Senate and is awaiting House action.
