The following programs are offered through Dyer Parks.

Feast of the Hunters' Moon trip

Take a trip to the 41st annual Feast of the Hunters' Moon Sept. 27 in Lafayette. The Feast is a recreation of the annual fall gathering of the French and Native Americans which took place at Fort Quiatenon, a fur trading outpost in the mid 1700s. The bust departs at 8 a.m. from Town Hall and returns around 5 p.m. Cost is $37 for adult residents and $40 for others. Children pay $32 for residents and $35 for others.

Mall trip

Take a trip to Ikea and Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg on Nov. 8. Ikea is a Swedish home furnishings store while Woodfield has about 300 stores and restaurants including five anchors. Ikea will be the first stop. The group will travel on a coach bus. Registration deadline is Oct. 31. The bus departs Northgate Park at 8:30 a.m. and returns around 5 p.m. Cost is $27 for residents and $30 for others.

Hometown celebration

Dyer's annual Hometown Celebration is 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sept. 6. There will be a car show, food vendors, live music, beer garden, fireworks, bean bag tourney and more. all the events will be held in the Jewel parking lot at Calumet Avenue and U.S. 30. For information, call (219) 865-6108.
