The annual Jim and Betty Dye Scholarship Dinner was held this summer at Lansing Country Club. Seventy-two past and present scholarship recipients attended the dinner celebrating their accomplishments.

Each Jim and Betty Dye Scholarship is for up to $3,000 per semester for four years at Indiana University Bloomington, Indiana University Northwest, Purdue University West Lafayette, Purdue University Calumet, IUPUI or Ball State University.

The scholarships are awarded to qualified seniors from selected high schools in Northwest Indiana with an SAT score of 1650 or better and a grade-point average of 3.25 or better.

Graduates of the program include physicians, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, lawyers, engineers, teachers, journalists, peace corps volunteers and more.
