CHESTERTON

TUESDAY

Prescription fraud. An employee at Steel Family Health Center said a patient apparently tried to receive a fraudulent prescription for oxycotin at a local drug store. The prescription was called into the pharmacy and left as a voicemail. When the pharmacist called to verify the prescription, the staff at the clinic learned it was not legitimate. The patient met with the health center staff, and according to police reports, he admitted to a doctor that he made the call. The patient was allowed to leave, and police were notified. No arrest was made.

TUESDAY

Theft. A tan 2000 Dodge Intrepid was reported stolen from a residence in Camelot Manor.

Theft. A green 1995 Ford Taurus was reported stolen from the 3800 block of Wexham Street.

Theft. Copper was reported stolen from an air conditioning unit at a home in the 5900 block of Carlson Avenue.

PORTER TOWNSHIP

TUESDAY

Theft. A Comcast employee reported the theft of a fiber optic node from a locked pedestal near Levanno Drive and Morena Terrace. Internet service went offline about 12:20 a.m. The part is worth $10,000.
