CALUMET CITY | Police continue to investigate a shooting that left a 29-year-old man dead Monday night in Calumet City.

Tyrond Gordon, of the 7700 block of South Lowe Avenue in Chicago, was shot and killed in the 400 block of Yates Avenue at 10 p.m. Monday, Calumet City police Capt. Dan Zorzi said.

Calumet City police found Gordon in the driveway of a residence with a gunshot wound to the chest, Zorzi said.

Police are conducting interviews, but the motive for the shooting is not yet clear, Calumet City Assistant Chief Tony Augun said.

"There are no suspects in custody, but we are still working on it," he said Wednesday.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Calumet City Police Department at (708) 868-2500.
