Borman lanes restricted during patching
The Indiana Department of Transportation will temporarily restrict lanes on Interstate 80/94 during nighttime hours for approximately one month beginning Tuesday, while concrete pavement patching takes place between Calumet and Cline avenues.
Traffic will be restricted to two through lanes in each direction from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. when construction takes place. INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and keep in mind worker safety when traveling through a construction zone.

East Chicago hosts Oktoberfest
The city of East Chicago and the Foundation of East Chicago present Oktoberfest, featuring the Maralyn Gaza Jazz Quintet, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 28 at the East Chicago Marina.
There is free food, drinks and free admission.
