Couple robbed outside of apartment complex
Police said various items were stolen from two people Monday while they sat in a vehicle parked outside an apartment complex.
The couple was parked about 1:30 a.m. in the 5800 block of Grant Street about 1:30 a.m. when a man approached the man in the vehicle and demanded his watch, police said.
The man was hesitant to give up his watch, police said, but finally gave it to the suspect. Police said the suspect also took wallets from the man and woman in the car.
The suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle, possibly a Ford, police said.

Borman lane restrictions scheduled for today
The Indiana Department of Transportation will restrict the right lanes of eastbound and westbound Interstate 80/94 between Ind. 51 in Lake County and Ind. 249 in Porter County from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today during pavement patching.
