Chamber of commerce seeks vendors for event
The Merrillville Chamber of Commerce is seeking vendors and sponsors for the 2008 Business and Consumer Expo from 1 to 6 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Radisson Hotel, 800 E. 81st Ave.
The theme of the event is "develop your business," and admission is free.

HOBART
Zoning Appeals Board approves 2 cell towers
The Hobart Board of Zoning Appeals on Thursday gave the go-ahead to T Mobile Central to build a 150-foot cell tower and related wireless communications facility at 5010 E. 70th Ave.
The board also approved a request from petitioner Steven Hedges to build a 170-foot cell tower and related wireless communications facility at 2018 E. 34th Place.
Both requests now go before the Plan Commission.
