Times Staff Report
PORTAGE | The Board of Works will try again to attract bidders for a portion of work at the new Lakefront Park.
When bids for eight categories for park construction were opened last month, none were received for marina construction, which involves working within the water on the breakwall and pile-supported riverwalk.
The bids received in the other seven categories were taken under advisement. Initially, those contracts were to be awarded Nov. 13. However, board members also approved changing that meeting date. They now will award contracts during a special meeting at 8 a.m. Nov. 19.
