CROWN POINT | Lake County commissioners are opening up prime parking places around the government center for the public.
Lake County Attorney John Dull announced Wednesday morning commissioners will vote next week to forbid able-bodied county government employees from using parking spaces closest to the east-facing front doors.
Dull said a large number of those parking spaces usually are filled by 8 a.m. by employees who drive to work. He said they will now be reserved for visitors or physically-challenged employees.
