HAMMOND | Police are looking for an irate customer who reportedly threatened employees of a retail shop near Bishop Noll Institute on Thursday afternoon.
Witnesses at the discount outlet in the 1300 block of Chicago Avenue said a man in the store had a disagreement with a worker there, and said he was going to go get a gun and "shoot the place up." The man then fled on foot eastbound on Chicago Avenue, witnesses said.
Police said they are treating the incident as a case of possible intimidation.
Hammond and East Chicago patrols were keeping an eye out for the possible suspect, who has not yet been located.
