CROWN POINT | Crown Point Emergency Management Department vehicles will display new logos after approval Wednesday by the Board of Public Works and Safety.

The new logo is the first in several decades for the department, which provides traffic management, emergency preparedness and other services, said Kelly Miller, department director.

The logo will help to identify the vehicles and distinguish them from other emergency services vehicles in the city, Miller said.

"This personalizes our equipment," he said. The logo replaces an older, smaller logo which was less visible, Miller said.

The cost of adding the logo to about eight vehicles will be handled by the Emergency Management Department budget, Miller said.
