HOBART — Police released surveillance photos Thursday of a woman suspected of fraudulently withdrawing more than $8,000 from banks in Hobart, Hammond and Merrillville.

A woman notified Hobart police May 15 that her wallet was stolen May 3 while she was in Chicago, Lt. James Gonzales said. The wallet contained several personal identifying documents and bank information.

On May 10, the suspect withdrew money at three branches of the same bank. The suspect presented a driver's license with her photo but the victim's personal information, police said.
