CROWN POINT — A 50-year-old man accused last month of sexually abusing two children is now facing federal charges of child pornography production.

David P. Geary faces two counts of child porn production, court records show.

A second person listed in the federal indictment, Sheila Geary, 51, of Hammond, faces one count of child pornography possession in connection with the case. Sheila Geary's relationship with David Geary was not immediately known Friday.

A federal grand jury indictment filed Thursday alleges David Geary on April 28, 2013, and again on June 2, 2013, coerced a minor under age 18 to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing materials that were shipped.

Sheila Geary is accused of knowingly possessing child pornography on or about June 2, 2013, through Oct. 13, 2017, that depicts a minor under age 12 engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

David Geary was previously charged Nov. 9 in Lake Criminal Court with two counts of child molestation and one count of incest.

In that case, David Geary is accused of repeatedly sexually abusing one child beginning when the child was 6 years old. The alleged victim, now 19, told police the abuse happened at Geary's home in Hammond.

The second alleged victim, now 11, said David Geary repeatedly groped the child between 2012 and 2014 at the Hammond home. David Geary would offer video games as bribes to continue the abuse, the child said.
