HAMMOND — Police on Friday released new surveillance photos in an effort to identify a suspect in several thefts of large quantities of energy drinks.

The man is suspected of stealing Red Bull energy drinks from several convenience stores in the city, Lt. Steve Kellogg said.

In one of the cases, the man — who is either white or Hispanic — wore a a gray Chicago Cubs World Series cap, a blue Cubs T-shirt with "Lee" on the back, dark-colored jeans and black gym shoes. He left in an Eddie Bauer SUV, which appeared to have different types of rims on the drive's side.

A white or Hispanic female was seen driving the SUV, police said.

Anyone with information about the man's identity is asked to call Detective Sgt. John Suarez at 219-852-2981.
