CROWN POINT | The Crown Point City Council approved a special use permit in a business zone to a bar serving food in a retail center at 1302-04 N. Main St.

Owner Radiyode Novovic told Crown Point officials he plans an eatery serving Serbian- and Macedonian-style cooking, along with beer, wine and liquor, in the 1,400-square-foot storefront location.

Novovic said the establishment likely will be open about 10 a.m. to midnight. No opening date was provided.

Officials said parking at the location is adequate.
