LaCrosse residents are informed that for the Nov. 6 election the polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and voting will take place at the Center. Voters are reminded to bring a picture ID with them to the polls.

Bazaar Saturday

LaCrosse United Methodist Church sponsors a bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 27 in the church social rooms. Crafts, cookies, homemade noodles will be available for purchase and there also will be a white elephant room. A variety of soups, sandwiches, pie and coffee or pop will be on the lunch menu. Halloween party

The Wanatah Lions Club Halloween party begins at 7 p.m. Oct. 31 at the elementary school. A costume judging contest will be feature. Trick or treat is from 5 to 7 p.m. Children should go only to houses having a lit porch light. Children should be accompanied by an adult.

LaCrosse Lions Club

The LaCrosse Lions Club will have a Halloween party at 4 p.m. Oct. 31 at The Center. costume judging will be featured. Trick or Treat is 5-7 p.m. Children should use flashlights and be accompanied by an adult.

Fish fry

The LaCrosse Lions Club sponsors a fish fry from 4 to 7 :30 p.m. Oct. 27 at The Center. Tickets for adults are $8 and $5 for children 12 and younger. Proceeds form the event are for the new public library building project.


The Wanatah Town Council meets at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 1 at the town hall. The meeting is open to the public.

Flu shots

The Visiting Nurse Association will give flu shots from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 29 at the Wanatah Town Hall.

Flu shots will also be administered from 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 29 at the LaCrosse Public Library.

Haunted house

The South Central Student Senate annual haunted house is from 6:30 to 8 tonight in the school cafeteria. Preschool through grade 6 may participate and also be accompanied by a parent at the school. The cost is $2 per child. Treats will be given afterward.

Open swim

Open swim is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at South Central School. Students pay $1 and adults, $2. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Haunted mansion

Wanatah School seventh grade class sponsors a haunted mansion from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 30 and 31. Tickets are $2 each or $5 for a family.

Open swim at South Central is from 6 to 8 p.m.
