INDIANAPOLIS — Region delegates to the 2018 Republican state convention will get to see a lot of Indiana on the way there.
The state GOP announced Friday that it will nominate candidates for secretary of state, state auditor and state treasurer next June in Evansville.
The southwestern Indiana city has no direct interstate highway route from the Region, but GOP Chairman Kyle Hupfer defended the convention site decision.
"We are a statewide party," he said. "As such, it's important that we hold events in every corner of Indiana as we work to build and grow our party for the future."
