GRIFFITH | Jennifer Dildine and Gerald Potacki have won the pair of at-large seats on the Griffith School Board.
They are making their first foray into public office.
"I'm just trying to take it all in right now," Dildine said after the votes were tabulated.
Dildine, 42, said she looks forward to working with the public school administration as a member of the School Board. She also pledged to always put the students first.
Potacki also expressed gratitude at winning the second seat.
"I'm very excited about it," he said.
Potacki, 52, said he will do whatever he can to help the school district.
Potacki said he plans to evaluate everything to get up to speed and then offer his input.
Dildine and Potacki will replace two current board members who did not run for re-election, Margaret Garastik and Tim Owczarzak.
