CHICAGO | A postal worker who had run a long shot campaign to unseat Democratic Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. has finally conceded.

Jackson easily won re-election Tuesday even as an extended medical leave kept him campaigning. He remains hospitalized at Minnesota's Mayo Clinic.

Three little-known challengers highlighted Jackson's absence and corruption allegations against Jackson on the campaign trail. Jackson wasn't expected to lose the seat he's held since 1995.

Republican Brian Woodworth has said he did the best he could Tuesday, while independent candidate Marcus Lewis conceded Wednesday morning. With 99 percent of precincts reporting, he captured roughly 13 percent of voters.

Lewis became known for his fiery critiques of Jackson and blames the Democratic establishment for his loss.

Write-in candidate Anthony Williams also conceded Wednesday and says he'll remain a public servant.
