INDIANAPOLIS | Hoosiers should know by the end of the month how many student standardized test scores were rendered invalid due to at least 78,269 ISTEP+ test interruptions caused by computer server capacity problems at the testing company.

Glenda Ritz, the Democratic state superintendent of public instruction, said Friday she will review next week the separate validity reports compiled by CTB/McGraw-Hill, the test administrator; and Richard Hill, an independent analyst.

She plans to present the findings at the July 29 meeting of the General Assembly's Commission on Education.

The glitch has delayed by more than two months the release of ISTEP+ results, which are a factor in student placement and teacher salaries.
