Advocate South Suburban Hospital physicians named 'Top Docs'

HAZEL CREST, Ill. | Named to Chicago magazine's Top Doctors list, five physicians on staff at Advocate South Suburban Hospital have been recognized by their peers as being among the Chicago area's most highly regarded doctors.

The list, published in the January 2012 edition of Chicago magazine, highlights physicians from across the Chicago area who are considered the best in their area of specialty.

Physicians on staff at Advocate Suburban Hospital highlighted as this year's Top Doctors are:

• Ronald K. Hamburger, M.D., nephrology.

• Thomas S. John, M.D., ophthalmology.

• James D. Keller, M.D., maternal and fetal medicine.

• Douglas Koltun, M.D., physical medicine and rehabilitation.

• Jacob Rotmensch, M.D., gynecologic oncology.

Selection for the Top Doctors list was done in cooperation with Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., a health care research and information company that publishes a number of guides identifying outstanding physicians in the country. Physicians and medical leadership of leading hospitals were asked to name exceptional doctors.  A screening process was utilized before the final selection was made of the physicians most highly regarded by their peers.
