Keep your mind sharp at Homewood-Flossmoor Park District's Brain Builders Club for participants ages 55 and older. Meeting the second Tuesday of each month, Brain Builders will feature fun, interactive exercises that can help participants improve mental fitness. The next session, Preventing Memory Loss, takes place from 2 to 3 p.m. March 9. Christian Fellowship Church, 605 165th St., hosts the Women's Chamber Choir of The Master's College in Santa Clarita, Calif., at 7 p.m. March 9. The choir, a 15-member ensemble, is a music ministry with students representing various states and areas of study. It was formed in 2000.

BENEFIT FOR JENNA | Lansing
St. John Lutheran School, 18100 Wentworth Ave., is hosting a benefit for a preschooler who was diagnosed with Stage IV embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of abdominal cancer. She has been cancer-free since January. Event is from 5 to 8 p.m. March 20 in the school gym. Minimum donation is $20 per person and children 10 and under minimum donation is $10. Tickets include a buffet dinner, door prizes available. Tickets can be purchased in the school office and by calling Gina Aguilar at (708) 921-5683. Donations can also be sent to the school office, specifying it's for Jenna's benefit. Donations will be matched in part by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

The Office of Career Services at Governors State University is sponsoring a career fair featuring employers in the field of criminal justice. Current students, alumni, and community members interested in finding employment in law enforcement, the criminal justice system, and related fields are encouraged to attend. Potential employers will be on hand from both public and private sectors. The Criminal Justice Career Fair is from 3 to 6:30 p.m. March 25 in the Hall of Governors at Governors State University, 1 University Parkway. While the Criminal Justice Career Fair is free and open to the public, employers who wish to participate must register and pay a registration fee.
