CALUMET CITY | The City Council voted to approve a resolution honoring Frank Bolda, who turned 80 Jan. 23 and has been a Calumet City resident his entire life -- living for the past 54 years at a house on Price Street.

Bolda has been married for 56 years, is an Army veteran from the Korean War, and belongs to both the American Legion and Our Lady of Knock Church, 501 163rd St.

Bolda was not present Thursday for the council session, but Mayor Michelle Markiewicz Qualkinbush said officials would like for Bolda to attend a future meeting so they can publicly acknowledge him. - By Gregory Tejeda, Times Correspondent
