MONEE | Catch some air and celebrate the excitement of kite flying during the Kite Fly Festival hosted by the Forest Preserve District of Will County and the Illinois Kite Enthusiasts Club.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Monee Reservoir, 27341 Ridgeland Ave.
Participants can introduce their children to the fun of kite flying or recapture nostalgic memories of their own. The festival will feature synchronized kite dancing, 90-foot flying kites, and candy falling from the sky. The fun-filled day also will include parachute kite races, live falcon demonstrations, kids’ activities, a kite and air exhibit, a scavenger hunt and a kite performance by TEAM 180 GO!
