BURNHAM | The Burnham Police Department will conduct patrols and road blocks concentrating on seat belt violators and driving under the influence until July 6.

The department will be joining numerous other law enforcement agencies across the state in a combined effort to make the streets and highways safer for the driving public.

Police encourage drivers and passengers to wear seat belts at all times to reduce injuries and traffic-related deaths.
