BURNHAM | The Burnham Police Department is joining law enforcement agencies throughout Illinois in the 2014 Memorial Day Click it or Ticket campaign from May 9 to 26.

Burnham police will patrol day and night and conduct seat belt enforcement zone road blocks targeting seat belt violators and other traffic violations, reckless driving and driving under the influence. Officers will ticket anyone in the car not wearing a seat belt.

Since Jan. 1, 2012, all drivers and passengers must wear seat belts in all seating positions in a vehicle, not just the front seat.
