CALUMET CITY | The Calumet Memorial Park District recently received trees to plant in parks across the city.

The trees were acquired through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources free tree program, with the intent of beautifying public spaces, increasing oxygen content in the atmosphere, and countering the effects of climate change.
