The Calumet Memorial Park District and the city of Calumet City held their annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on Dec. 1.

The longtime community tradition began at City Hall, then moved north to Memorial Park, and featured choirs, ice sculpting, live reindeer, visiting with Santa Claus, wagon rides, a performance by the Thornton Fractional North High School Band and fireworks.
