CALUMET CITY | The City Council gave its approval to daylight hours for trick or treat activity for Halloween.

This year, the holiday falls on a Saturday. By a 7-0 vote, the council Wednesday set hours from 1 to 4 p.m. for children to go from house to house in search of candy and other treats, with police discouraging children from engaging in such activity later that day. - By Gregory Tejeda, Times Correspondent
