CALUMET CITY | Calumet City 2nd Ward Alderman Magdalena "Leni" Wosczynski is once again hosting a Thanksgiving food drive.

It is the 26th year she is asking for support to provide meals to the less fortunate during the holidays. Food will be collected until Nov. 30 at these locations during normal business hours: Bank Financial, 1901 Sibley Blvd.; BMO Harris Bank, 530 Torrence Ave.; First Savings Bank of Hegewisch, 1100 Sibley Blvd.; and Home Depot of Calumet City, 1550 Torrence Ave.

Canned goods and nonperishable food items will be donated to the Calumet City Resource Center. Items it is in need of include cereal, paper products, soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste and laundry detergent.

Checks can be made payable to the Calumet City Resource Center and mailed to Alderman Leni Wosczynski, 204 Pulaski Road, Calumet City, IL 60409.
