CALUMET CITY | Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday night that left a Calumet City man in his 20s with non-life threatening injuries.

Police responded to the call of shots fired at 8:40 p.m. Thursday in the area of 153rd Street and Douglas Avenue, said Capt. Dan Fiori. Upon arrival, police found the male victim with gunshot wounds to his hand and shoulder. The injuries were non-life threatening.

The victim is recuperating at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and was listed in stable condition on Thursday. A current condition was not available.

DiFiori said the case remains under investigation and that police do not know of a motive or have a suspect in the shooting.
