CALUMET CITY | The Calumet Memorial Park District and the city of Calumet City present the 18th annual Freedom's Eve celebration on July 3 at T.F. North High School, 755 Pulaski Road.

Gates will open at noon for seniors ages 55 and better for a free Senior Social until 2 p.m., featuring music, games, raffles and prizes. A variety of foods will also be available for purchase.

From 2 to 3:30 p.m. Radio Disney will provide free entertainment for children.

The Kiddie Karnival, featuring amusement rides, inflatables, rock climbing, video games and face painting, will be from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $2 each, and an unlimited play wristband is only $10.

Mystic Fire will take the stage at 6 p.m., performing their melding of Latin, R&B and classic rock.

The musical headliner will be Final Say, with an extensive repertoire of songs that range from the latest Top 40 hits to classics,

The fireworks display will launch at 9:30 p.m.

Admission to Freedom's Eve is free.

In addition to the above, there will be a tribute to members of the community currently serving in the armed forces. Also, food and treats will be available for purchase all day.
